Soda Gone Flat?
Don't throw it out because the fizz is gone. Instead, pour it into ice cube trays and freeze. Pop into your new soda to chill, so the cubes won't dilute it.

FEBRUARY TESTIMONY
Wow! God, is so awesome! I feel so blessed, to share this with you. We have prayed several years for family members to be saved. Sometimes, you feel as though your prayers are never going to be answered, but that's what the enemy wants us to believe. The adversary, tells you to give up & give in! Oh, but that's when the Holy Spirit says persevere! You, may have to fight a battle more than once to win it. We are the Army of the Lord. Never give up!
With continued faithful prayer, our family members were getting saved. Three family members within one month's time, another family member within that same year. This past Christmas, we were blessed with another saved family member. PRAISE GOD! (And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1John 5:14-15)
We will continue to persevere for lost souls. Remember, the Victory is ours! ("But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians 15:57)
If this is something you have been praying for, but have not seen anything change, my prayer for you is to TRUST the GOD of our SALVATION with continued faithful prayer. (The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16)

FOCUS—February’s Featured TOF Woman
Laura and her husband Bud hail from Charleston, SC and moved to East Asheville when Bud’s employer transferred him. However, they were not strangers to this area. Bud’s family is originally from Fairview.
They have three daughters all graduates of Reynolds High and four grandchildren. When Bud’s parents passed away, they re-located to the family “homeplace” in Fairview. They were active in Beverly Hills Baptist and Laura admits it was hard to leave, but felt it was important to be involved in a local Church. In October 2006, they found Trinity of Fairview and have been blessing TOF ever since.
While homemaking was her career, she had a few jobs outside the home including teaching and working for 211 Information & Referral Service were, as she puts it, “I got to tell people where to go!” She enjoys fishing, the beach, reading, Beth Moore Bible Studies and gardening.
Volunteering at Church was a way for her to make new friends. She recommends this approach to women who want to get connected. Presently, she is the Leadership Coordinator for the Women’s Team which is hosting the upcoming Birthday Bash. Laura’s desire is for all TOF women to become active team members. There is a place for everyone. Let her know if you would like to join.

WHAT IS LOVE?
“See how they love each other.” Was that said of a beautiful man and woman as they gazed deeply into one another’s eyes across a candlelit table? Or of a white-haired couple who still held hands after 60 years of marriage? Or of a young couple as they gazed upon their newborn baby?Nope, nope, and nope. Those words, according to church history, were spoken by pagans about the early Christians because they fed, clothed, and sheltered the poor at great sacrifice to themselves.
Valentine’s Day is not necessarily a happy day for many Americans, even many Christians. We’ve bought into this Hollywood notion that love is all about beauty, chemistry, stars in the eyes, and butterflies in the stomach. When those feelings aren’t there, when that “special someone” is absent, we think we are not loved.
But true love, God’s kind of love, isn’t an emotion birthed out of attraction. True love is an experience, birthed out of action. That means everyone can have love because everyone can act lovingly toward another. Consider the following five ways you can experience love (and then add your own):
- Look someone in the face, right in the eyes, and give them a genuine big smile.
- Make a home-made goodie, make a phone call, write a note, write a check – DO something to make someone else’s day.
- Give up something special to you – whether that’s time, money, energy, rights – to benefit someone else.
- Attend the March 21 Birthday Bash at Trinity of Fairview and bring a (optional) Wal-Mart gift card ($5 and up) to benefit Asheville Pregnancy Support Services.
- Attend a worship service at Trinity of Fairview. After you’ve been kissed, hugged, and joined in worship with this wonderful family you’ll leave saying, “Wow, see how they love each other!”
Steadfast House—A Ministry of ABCCM
The Steadfast House provides shelter to women and their children whose life situation has left them homeless. Many of these ladies are feeling vulnerable and forgotten. The women’s ministry of TOF has been given the opportunity to be a part of their lives during their troubling times.
During our first visit in November, we took supper and a Chonda Pierce video. While some of the ladies enjoyed the video, we soon realized most just wanted to talk to someone who cared enough to really listen. So during our second visit on January 30th, we took supper, provided entertainment for five children and spent sometime just floating around and getting to know one another.
The TOF ladies got connected on a personal level with two of the mothers. Zoe is the mom of pre-schoolers Riley and Sarai. She is a Christian but feels a failure as a witness. Her husband is a Christian, too, but confused about how to live out his Christian beliefs. As a result he has abandoned them. Please pray this family will be reunited and discipled.
Kat is the mom of 19 month old Victor. There is no father in this family but a friend of Kat’s was trying to fill the role. Unfortunately, it has not worked out. Kat is very enthralled with her neo-pagan friends and rejects Christ. Pray that the walls Kat has built up against Christianity will come down.
Pray also for cousins Malachi and Destiny along with their mothers. It is great that these two sisters have each other. Their children are at that adolescent age where self-esteem and acceptance are big issues. Ask the Lord to wrap them in love and security.
All TOF ladies are encouraged to become a part of this on-going ministry. We need people to provide a simple supper, dessert or drink for the night we visit. Prayer warriors are needed since there is a lot of spiritual warfare. And, we need more TOF women to go and be a presence for Christ. Contact L. Dotson to see how you can fit into this ministry.

WORD OF THE DAY
Furndents - those pesky spots in your carpet left when you move the furniture!!! NOW...how to fix them.
If there are dents in your carpet where furniture has been placed and you've moved it, get your steam iron out. Hold it an inch or two above the carpet (do not let it touch the carpet) over the dent and press the steam button several times. Allow the steam to hit the carpet dent. Then fluff up fibers with your fingers.
